WOOLSHrED Garden Felt launched at RHS Wisley Garden Flower Show 2024 and was received incredibly well by visitors to the show. 

The Garden Felt product came about after horticultural businesses and gardeners requested garden felt for projects for their plants, gardens, and allotments. They wanted felt that would do specific jobs, be aesthetically pleasing, and be biodegradable. 

The horticultural garden felt project has been in the WOOL SHrED pipeline for a while. Manufacturing any wool is costly, but this year, I decided to bite the bullet and produce a small batch of horticultural felt. The Garden Felt was sent out to gardeners to trial. Feedback has been positive for its use with vegetables and flowers. The felt design also has an IP certification, and customers have been purchasing it for the 2025 growing season. 

The felt comes in a 1m x 50cm x approx 3mm thick piece.

Our wool felt can be used for hanging basket lining or used to create all kinds of garden products like mulch mats to protect dahlias and vegetables, pot toppers to help with weed suppressing, grow tubes for propagating, cabbage collars for protecting around the base of your brassicas and capillary matting. The felt can be used to solve all sorts of garden issues. The garden felt is 100% British Hebridean wool , is a natural slug and snail deterrent and will naturally biodegrade.
